So, I had to take a couple of days out from BC2 due to the Win 7 re-install taking longer than expected, but I'm now ready to go again.

What I'd like to know is where the frig the others are?

I've been on with Matt a couple of times, with Rich, and seen Cannon on a couple of times whilst I was monitoring (and Ewan) - but what happened to "my fingers will be glued to WASD" Ray, then?

Jim?

Doc?

Where yas all at, knackerjackers?

We wanna get some decent squad action going and start kicking butt on the server - so get on parade, ya wusses!

There's enough of us for a squad - but in this game one good squad may be enough to win the firefight, but not the battle (round) - so, who's looking for ROP's?

Coupla good rounds last night - nice to see more of us on at the same time, however, I'd prefer it if we were on the same side when the server is loaded, i.e. plenty of peeps on.

Okay to start off with, split up for sure, but when it gets busy we should fight as a unit. Ain't that the whole point of a clan?

Anyway, after a few rounds I went stale (!) so didn't get as much in as I'd have liked. Two consecutive rounds of <0.1 K/D ratio = time to go! Embarassed

Wouldn't have happened if we'd worked as a squad or two, though.

Remember, even if the suad sizes are 4, there's nowt to stop us joining two squads to fight.

Got that? Start sucking....... now! Razz

I think that is wrong, a good % of people dont like to see clan stacking on servers and tbh im not fussed about being on the same team, just as long as the server gets populated and have regular peeps coming on.

Well, for me that's the whole point of a clan and is the only reason I ever had owt to do with any - to fight alongside my pals - not against them - then I might as well just save my money and play on other peoples' servers Rolling Eyes

and btw - it's what we used to do all the time on our full server.

So you're talking sh**e, ma boy - for a change! Razz

In fact, Ray, if the CPC clan policy is just that these days, I won't be extending my subs to it beyond the current quarter - cos that's why I'm here - to fight as a team together Wink

I disagree.

I have been in 3 clans over the last 10 years, and there was always one or two who came out with that, but the facts of what happened on the servers showed otherwise.

Sure, if we were a dozen guys on every night, continually kicking butt, people might avoid it. But that ain't the case here, is it?

We can't even make up two full squads - so anyone who moans about that is talking out their botty.

I don't give a fig if I am on the winning team for any round. What I care about is enjoying myself - and I do that with good teamwork. Rarely when I'm going 'lone wolf' - in a squad (in name only) or not.

Even just doubling up with Rich was much more fun than going alone. A full squad, with people taking on useful kits to help in the squad ( a la BF2) would be great. Even in a squad of 4, with two types from Joe Public, there's little cohesion to the individual roles or squad tactics.

It's just cos you're a CSS bum Razz

problem for me is getting on the same team, its not like bf2 with rcon where you can swap you over, to be honest im not at all impressed with the game play and the command and control aspect

Jim, it's even easier in this game - you just click on the 'switch teams' button. That only works when it's not completely full, I guess - but we can fix that with clanforge and blame EA Wink

That's why it's easy for all the losers (pun intended) to switch to the winning team when the chips are down.

I think we should watch out for that on a server, and if people start migrating to the winning team, we should all switch to the other side occassionally and do some kicking.
If it's too close to the end of the round, it's pointless, but I've seen it happen as soon as one side is clearly stronger. Or if it just happens by the rubbish non-existent auto-balancing in this game.

You'll get the same thing (people not joining the server), if we continually have heavily uneven sides. Of course, if the server's full, who gives? Razz

In the meantime, I think I've worked out why my hits aren't taking em out - need to hit the bonce more. Shame I can't practice that like I used to in BF2 (very rusty these days) on SP mode. SP in this game is complete toss.

It's worked for me every time, although it won't let you change twice (might just be not twice within a time limit).

As for squadding up/punter reaction etc - it's early days yet - so let's see how things pan out.
