Dont get a 250 you wont see much over a 9800 gtx. Get a GTX 260 graphics card at least if not a 275.

I'm afraid I got refused permission, Jim.
If ya had come up with a figure, I'd have maybe had a bit of persuading power - but with a "maybe this much" to the missus, she was always gonna give me one of them stares that makes yer willy shrivel up.
I need one, too, for my online motor racing on my uvver pooter. Had a go yesterday with the 9550 and I just couldn't believe how bad it looked. Probably just can't handle the 1440x900 - they were rare when it came out.

Okay - I was thinking along the same lines - Knew you'd probably paid a packet but prices for good gpu's are very low these days.
That's why I kept hold of my £330 X1950XTX, too.

New series of Nvidia gfx cards will be coming out soon, i am just upgrading my pc atm with new i7 core stuff and will be upgrading my gfx card in the coming months just gunna hold out till the new series comes.

I would hold off too till the new cards are out. See what price drops there are. I too will be going i7 but probably not until end of the year.

I was mad enough to buy a GTX 480. No lag in games though the q6600 doesn't really do it justice.
I have a EVGA GTX 280 SC card going to sell for around the 100 mark now listed on ebay:P
