Hey up, Ladies... |
|
Hi guys
hey, I've been missing yas all - honest! Things have got sooooo boring lately.
Been doing beta testing non-stop since December on an FSX add-on (Air Hauler) and SP testing since release in every spare minute of the day, 'cept the odd BF2 practice sesh.
So hows it hangin'?
Hope you've been giving Raymondo the frikkin hard time he deserves
Nah, don't worry mate - you know you'll always be my bud....
tbh I gave my CoD4 away ages ago - got bored with it - too small - like CSS and BF2's bastard mongrel brat or sumats.
I'll pop back more regular now - seems I never left, from the Roster page...!!
Chars

So no server now then?
That's a shame.
Still, maybe sometime in the future...? (like when OFP2 comes out?) - I like the sound of this;
 |
 |
OFP2 Multiplayer
Dragon Rising also features a multiplayer mode. In storyline co-op mode, several human players can play through the singleplayer campaign together, each human player replacing a computer-controlled character. There are also the pure multiplayer modes Annihilation and Infiltration, with more multiplayer modes promised for after the release of the main game.
The maximum number of human players in a game is 32 for PC |
Things just ain't what they woz, is they.... online gaming has, imho, suffered quite a bit over the last year or so. At least, for the non-rpg type games, methinks.
Let's hope the success and popularity of BF2 doesn't become a one-off.

eh?
tbh with ya guys, I'm not in an FPS mood these days - bought OFP2 and liked it, for a console port, even better with voice control (using VAC - excellent prog for $18 ), but I can't get it up no more....
Me interest, ya doofers!
I lost track of all the BF's and stuff, anyway - so wotz this BC2 loik, then? Is it worth shelling out for - or am I gonna be bored shitless within a cuppla weeks?
Any comparison to BF2?
Any Voice Control?
TrackIR support?
SP mode (for when there's only wankers about.... ahem)?
Meantime I've been busy beta testing FSX stuff and flying Black Shark (meets every Sunday eve for new pilots, if anyone's interested) on the servers.
edit ain't there no flippin censorship on this forum?!

well that goes without saying, but if it was really good, it may re-awaken my interest.
I probably lost interest because it was all same old... but I would certainly consider it if it was on a par with BF2 (rather than, say, CoD 4).
An updated and improved BF2 would be worth looking at imo. I still miss the old days - can't believe how long ago it was now. Back then I was in a good clan, on our server every night for frikkin months.
When 1.3 came out and the clan started fizzling, I switched to another one that was playing AF only - and again, every evening for months. Like thousands of others.
I haven't seen that kind of game or interest since. Probably the end of an era
EA definitely shot themselves in the foot.
Ne'er mind.
I have been doing some Race 07/GTRevo racing at fGw - but ditched it when Steam issues arose yet again (piece of junk).

OPFP2 was a total dissapointment multiplayer-wise, no dedicated servers, console like controls, same boring small maps. The only good point was the co-op campaign mode but even then you and a mate could finish it in a night or 2.

I agree with ya there, i have now sold my copy as i won't be playing that again. Once its been completed it just doesn't draw ya back in to play more for me.

Well it was a console port, so I wasn't expecting too much.
I found it much more interesting to just not bother too much with the mission goals - or do them as and when I felt like it, but to go on a jolly around the island.
There were nearly always far more enemy and usefull stuff around than was shown in the mission briefings.
Still, I only played it up to about mission 4 when I re-installed with Win 7 retail and I've yet to do the rest.
